According to the information received from the Indian Army, this encounter started when the terrorists ambushed near Janda Nala in Lohai Malhar of Kandi area of ​​Kathua. They opened indiscriminate fire targeting the Indian Army vehicle. Many soldiers were injured due to being hit by it.

As soon as the information about the terrorist attack on the army vehicle was received, the backup team of the Indian Army also left for the encounter. The entire area was cordoned off. Four soldiers were martyred in this terrorist encounter. Indian military forces have cordoned off the entire area. Not only this, the nearby connecting roads have also been put on alert.

6 terrorists were killed and 2 soldiers were martyred in the double encounter in Kulgam
